Old Major's Speech

After Old Major's speech, how did you (as one of the animals) react to the thought of rebellion? What were you thinking? Was it a possible rebellion, or something you would never see? React to the speech as you believe your chosen character would and be detailed.

I have heared the speach, and it sounded very interesting, but I do not see the sence in a rebellion. What would really change for me anyway? I am old, many people seem to forget this fact, but yes I am old, and there is not that much more time given to me anymore. If the younger ones of us want a rebellion, they can go ahead, I will not stop them, but I will not support them eather.

Rebellion sounds like a very good idea. I think this rebellion is very possible. I will do any work that i can to help it on its way. I will do what ever Old Major wants me to, to help him with the rebellion. I think that if he keeps us going the rebellion will be a very good experience. I will whole heartedly do what ever kind of work that Old Major wants me to. I will do more work in the feilds. I will help him kick down trees for wood. I will help him knock down what ever he wants. If he needs me too plow extra i will plow for him.

At first, when Old Major brought us all into the barn for his speech, I wasn't sure what it was about. I just saw it as a chance to be around everyone and show off the ribbons in my mane. That is mainly the only reason I went.

After listening to him, I have to admit that I'm not sure what will happen if we were in charge. I'll go along with it, but when I was informed that there would be no sugar cubes, I thought about not going along with it.

And with the humans gone, who will keep my mane and coat beautiful? I guess I'll go along with this and see where it goes...

I believe that Old Major is quite persuasive and a greeat leader. He convinces me to follow him in the rebellion against humans. He even states facts on how we are used by them. They use us and then they kill us. Mr. Jones took all four of clovers foals and sold them for money. He uses the chickens for eggs and the cows for milk. He uses the horses to pull things because he is too lazy to do it himself. He says how hard and useless our lives are amd how they can be so much better.

I sang and I sang that wonderful song. I believe that we can actually do something about it. I now see what is wrong with the way we are living and I want to help. If we do decide to do it and if we do I will do anything and everything I can to help us live on and have a better life.

I can't wait for that there rebellion. It sounds like a wonderful idea. I hope we can do it soon, life right now stinks. Old Major is such a good leader; and smart too, I'll do whatever I need to do to help him. Man, them pigs are real smart!

Clover(AndrewM)I'm excited and all, but i really don't want to work. Before, I could just sleep on a hay bail, grass, porch steps, barn attic, or under a tree. It is ridiculus to think I have to work for these other animals. I wonder where I'm going to get my cat nip now...MEOW!

i thought the speech was very motivating and inspiring. It has opened my eyes to the tyranny that we have been dealing with. As one of the more cleverer animals, i will help lead this revolution to a victory. (Pigs) (Kodey Appel)

The speech was moving. It opened the eyes of many animals, and many of them followers. They reliezed that we aren't treated well. That "four legs good, two legs bad" come into play. There is much work ahead of us now, after Major's speech. It was just the first step of a very long movement. And we thank our great founder to animalism.

I was laying on the barn floor listening to Old Major's convincing speech. I agree that most of the animals are treated unfairly. I myself have shared some abuse from Mr. Jones, but I am not getting milked, laying eggs, or having children being sold. If we rise up and rebel I will follow my fellow farm friends.

I Can't believe those dumb animals actually believe that bs. I'm not participating in anything like that. I have mad it this long without the rest of the animals, i don't need them now and i deffinately don't need them to all of a sudden decide to be nice to me and try using as one of their workers. I may be a rat, but at least I'm smart enough to know when to draw the line, and i know that's never possible.

The speech I thought was pretty endulging to what I had in mind for the freedom to the animal nation on Animal Farm. It was very compelling to what we all have in mind. We all have a voice in this matter, so why not use the voice to better our lives.

The rebellion would be perfect no more humans to mess up our lives. More food no more wips and time to ourselves was what i was thinking. I think it is posible and maybe I will see it soon. I know if the rebllion does happen I will be one of the hardest workers on the farm. The speech really got me going, I am ready to have more food and not be forgotten about. No more humans great.
